Do you feel emotionally stuck at times? When you feel emotionally stuck, you can’t move forward. No matter what you do, your fears rise up and take up space, blocking you from actualizing your desires.
You Feel Uninspired…
You don’t know what to do or where to move. Everything seems to be one hazy blur in your head. Then, you don’t do anything. You look outside to the world and see everyone else moving forward. Or it appears that way to you. You fling yourself deeper in this cycle of feeling stuck.
How do You Become Unstuck?
Here are 4 Steps You can Take:
Get Crystal Clear on Your Desires
You can’t have one foot in and one foot out. You can’t want something and then play this hide and seek game that you don’t really want it. It doesn’t do you any good. The first step to realizing your desires is to admitting you have desires.
I’ll give you a simple example. When I realized I did not want to be a recruiter, I didn’t acknowledge at first. I would think it’s not logical to not be doing an office job. But this year, I stopped these thoughts. I let them glide past me.
What was my desire? I did not want to be a recruiter. Then what did I want to do? I want to be a writer.
I still work full-time while managing my writing career, but I am very clear on this desire. All I know is that a time is going to come when I will release my recruiting job so I can give more time and focus to my writing. I don’t know when it’s going to happen or how, but I’m accepting my desire.
Your desire doesn’t have to be as big as mine. To get in the groove, start with simple desires. Maybe you want to go paddle boarding. Let the desire linger in your head. Accept it. Don’t push it away.
Pull Out a Journal and Start Writing Your Thoughts
This is the best thing you can do for yourself. Keep a journal for you and your thoughts. Start writing down how you’re feeling. Ask yourself questions. Why do you feel fear about this desire? When you write it down, it becomes more real. It’s no longer just a thought. You can see your thinking patterns. Dive deeper.
Why do you feel this fear? Is it linked to a past experience? Do you feel not worthy of being happy?
You’ll be really surprised at what you find. I know I was. I had deep seated fears and reasons I had never acknowledged.
Find out what is blocking you so you can clear the space for your desires to realize.
See Your Fears with No Fear
Start looking at what holds you back. Observe yourself. See your fears with no fear. Be honest with yourself. Honesty is the most important thing when you want to feel liberated from your fears. This is the key to emotional freedom.
Give Yourself Permission to Live Your Truth
Deep in your heart, you already know what makes you happy. You know your truth. But things get in the way and then you feel you’re too far from living your truth. Start with baby steps.
Give your permission to live your vision. Life will show you the way π
