One of the most confusing things in the dating world is when a man lies. You’re not sure why he’s lying. You don’t understand the motivation to lie in the first place.
He is Insecure
Depending on the lie, he could be insecure. Maybe something pushes his emotional buttons and it brings up feelings of insecurity, confusion, and anxiety. In this situation, he could lie just because he doesn’t want to admit his vulnerabilities.
He Wants to Impress You
You can even look at this as a compliment to you. A man is lying because he wants to impress you so much. He doesn’t feel good enough to get you, so he resorts to lying in hopes that you return his affection. I’m not saying this is right or a good thing, no matter how flattering. Ultimately, it doesn’t allow for a real foundation to be built on trust between you two.
He Doesn’t Want to Hurt You
If you get upset or react easily, then he may start lying as a way to avoid drama. Though the intention may be positive, he doesn’t want to hurt your feelings, it’s not going to benefit your relationship.
It’s Simply Easier
Or it’s simply easier for him to lie than deal with your hurt feelings and a habit for him.
