What Does Being in Love Feel Like?

November 14, 2014 by Priyanka Leave a Comment

I’m asked this question a lot, by friends even to random people I’ve barely known. It got me thinking. What does love feel like? How does one feel?

Being in Love

Being in Love

Love is Beautiful and Uplifting

Being in love is the most beautiful feeling in the world. You definitely have rosy-tinted glasses on. I do feel that love changes you a lot, but that can be a good thing, especially if you are with the right person.

You wake up in the morning feeling happy for no reason even when your work week is not going well. You think about him just before falling asleep!

It’s this lingering feeling of feeling loved that makes me feel warm and special. Even when I am not with that person, I can’t help, but think about him. I replay certain touching moments in my head over and over.

You Both Rub Off on Each Other

Your individual habits and energy rub off on each other. As a person, I’m methodical and like to be in control. But I like men who live in the present and are laid back. I found myself becoming light hearted and letting go when I’m with him. And I saw him becoming more responsible being with me. He thought about his finances and future more.

Think About Each Other in the Little Moments

I would be at a mall, spot a shirt or pant, and think about how great it would look on him. Or I would spot a Thai restaurant and make a note mentally that he would like the food there!

Loved For Your Quirks

I’m clueless about certain things. I can be very naive. He would laugh at my moments when I didn’t get something fast. Or that I’m very superstitious about specific things and would go with it for my sake. And I would love his dorky sense of humor.

How do you feel when you are in love? Please share with me in the comments!
