Question: What is your most embarrassing moment?
Answer: A major embarrassing moment was when I tripped face down in front of the printers at my first job.
I have this habit of being very klutzy and needless to say, it was incredibly embarrassing as it happened in front of my whole team, consisting of my manager and his bosses. Everyone stopped typing and looked at me for a moment. Then, I got up and pretended like nothing happened and they went back to typing on their computers.
Embrace Your Embarrassing Moments
When I was younger, my face used to become really hot and my hands shaky if I said or did something embarrassing. Maybe the other person didn’t even feel it was embarrassing, but somehow I felt super conscious. This used to happen in high school a lot. A time when you are awkward anyway.
Today, I fully embrace my embarrassing moments. It is what makes me human, after all. As an adult, I have probably had more such moments happen to me than when I was younger.
Makes Your Personality Interesting
When I fall flat on my face, sure, for a moment, I do feel really self-conscious and I just want to run away, but then immediately, I brush myself off and laugh at myself. What’s life without any funny, embarrassing moments? I wouldn’t be writing this blog post, would I, if I didn’t have any such experiences?
No matter how far you rise and become successful in life, you want to remain true to your inner self. You want to be someone people can easily connect to and find interesting. My embarrassing experiences have certainly brought an extra dimension to my writing and my persona.
