When something bothers you, do you keep thinking and thinking instead of taking a break and clearing your mind?
You may do this often and not even know it. You may think that by thinking about something constantly, a solution will come to your mind.
When You Think too Much, the Opposite Happens
But when you think too much, instead of a solution rising in your mind, you end up going in circles and making yourself go dizzy. I have found myself get headaches whenever I thought about something too much. Then, my eyes felt dry and I felt drained.
Clearing Your Head and Letting Go is Not Losing Control
Release yourself from over thinking and let your mind drift wherever it wants to. Your mind is like the ocean and your thoughts and feelings are like the waves. Let the waves come and go as they wish. Don’t fight them.
I have gone through some intense situations and I wanted to keep circling over the same thing. But my mind wanted to drift away. It wanted to release and feel my emotions. So I gave in and took a break.
Release and Feel Instead
Feel your emotions. Let your mind drift. Give yourself a break. Another thing I’d like to point out is feeling is not the same as thinking. Thinking is analyzing and gathering information. Feeling is giving and letting go. Let your mind go somewhere. Allow yourself to feel. You’re not a rock, but a feeling human being. The solution or whatever it is you are seeking will come to you.
