Here is another Chicken Soup for the Soul Friday from my earlier blog! Enjoy 🙂
“I was driving to Davis one weekend. Before passing through Davis, you come across a bridge and toll booth where you pay $5 and then you’re on your way. Having been to UC Davis for my undergraduate education, I’ve crossed this bridge countless times. I always carry $5 in cash. This time was no exception.
As I pulled up to the toll booth, before I could even hand over the cash, a young guy at the booth tells me no need to pay because the car in front of me had paid for me. My jaw dropped open and I looked at my brother sitting beside me and then quickly drove across the bridge, trying to glimpse who had paid for me.
I didn’t find out who it was, but my heart filled with joy. It had been a bad week that week and I remembered feeling so angry that week. Every now and then, I guess you become surprised. There are still some good people left in this world, after all.” – Priyanka
