I started working with my trainer again about two weeks ago. It has been fantastic! I’m learning new exercises and stretching my body to new limits. My trainer also had me stick to a flexible eating schedule. He measured my height and weight and calculated the optimal number of grams of carbohydrates, protein, and fat I should consume on a daily basis.
He told me to keep track of my meals and measure how much carbohydrates, protein, and fat I’m consuming daily.
I was Under Eating!
I returned with my numbers the following week and to my surprise, I was under eating! My trainer told me it’s common with many women. They tend to under eat and believe cutting out carbohydrates from their diet will help them become thinner. But that’s not the case.
Balance My Diet
My trainer told me the main reason he wanted me to keep track of my food was to make sure I was eating a balanced diet. Eating a good balance of carbohydrates, protein, and fat was the key to shedding pounds especially in the belly area.
Boosts My Energy
I started following his mantra and I have been seeing a change in my body and mental state. Firstly, I feel much more energy. I feel more satisfied after I eat my meals because I don’t cut out carbs completely. I make sure I have a healthy helping of brown rice, beans, and lentils. I have shed some weight on my belly, so I will continue this diet!
