How you want to say it is entirely up to you. If you want to make it extra special for your man, then you can arrange a fun, romantic date. You can go for a candle lit dinner or a stroll in the park. You can spend a weekend together out of town and tell him there. Gosh, I am getting the tingles just thinking all this!

Play it By Ear and Just Say Whenever It Feels Right

Lastly, maybe you don’t want to do all this planning. One moment, the urge fills you to tell him you love him and you whisper the words to him. You don’t even think about how he’ll feel. The words just blurt out. I remember the first time a guy told me he loved me. It was on the phone and I had not expected it. It is still one of the most special moments in my life.
