Do you feel alone sometimes? Do you feel like no one has your back? There are moments I have felt exactly this. I’m not sure why I felt this even though I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by loved ones and friends. But I did feel it at times.
Struggling Inside…
There are internal struggles occurring and you may feel like no one can understand what you’re going through. Maybe you’re going through a break up or rough patch overall.
You’re Too Afraid to Show Your Pain
You’re scared to drop your walls and reveal your vulnerabilities. You don’t want to admit that you’re confused and overwhelmed. So you keep all your emotions hidden and you end up feeling like you’re alone.
Talk to a Loved One or Journal
Gather the courage to speak to someone you’re very close to, someone you know who won’t judge you and will listen to you. I turn to my best friend in medical school most of the time. I know she is always there for me and not judgmental. I speak to her about matters closest to my heart more than even my own family!
You can write about how you’re feeling in your journal. If you don’t have a journal, simply grab a sheet of paper and start jotting down your thoughts.
You are never really alone. There are people who care for you, all you have to do is drop your walls and approach them. There are supportive practices that can help you, like journaling, meditation, or talking to even a life coach or professional who can guide and lovingly support you.
