I was at home watching television and having a meal. My father sat besides me. He was engrossed in the show as well. During a commercial break, he asked me about my brother. He does this often. He tries to get info about me and my siblings by asking us about one another. Sneaky, sneaky!

He asked why he hadn’t swung over to our home since he just returned from his vacation to Miami and a Bahamas cruise. I answered that he was tired from his cruise.

What?! How the Heck Can You Be Tired from a Vacation?

He giggled like a little boy and wondered why someone would be tired after returning from a vacation. Don’t people go on vacation to be well rested? Why does Pritesh (my brother’s name!) need to take time off after sipping on drinks and enjoying Miami and the Bahamas?

I Laughed So Hard, Tears Came Out of My Eyes…

It was a great point my father was making. And he made the point half jokingly and half seriously. He said with a peculiar innocence like a little boy. I laughed merrily with my father while my mother cooked dinner in the kitchen.

We then proceeded to tell our insightful observations to my mother. My father and I kept cracking up. I hadn’t had a moment like this since my childhood especially with my father.

The moment was beautiful and it felt wonderful to enjoy it with my father.
