Many times, our hearts need comfort and reassurance. We feel the need for support and guidance from someone else. That someone else can be anyone from your friends to family. But we may feel afraid to reach out because we feel should deal with our challenging experiences alone.
Just a year ago, I was the type of girl who went through whatever she was going through alone. I seldom liked to discuss my feelings and situations in my life, even to my closest friends and family.
But My Heart Craved Comfort and Support…
I couldn’t deal with everything in my life alone. The reality is no one can deal with things alone. But our egos or fears can keep us from reaching out for support.
Refreshes Your Perspective
I take the time now to reach internally and feel my emotions completely. I give myself that space to do so. For example: if it’s a romantic matter, I reach out to my best friend. I cry, laugh, and open my heart to her.
In return, I feel much better. Also, she offers me her wisdom and sometimes it totally puts a fresh spin to the whole matter.
Vent Out Your Emotions and Feel Better by Someone Listening to You
I talk to my mother daily on the phone and I vent my emotions to her. By releasing my pent up feelings, I immediately feel a sense of relief and warmth.
Sometimes, you don’t even need any advice. All you really need is for someone to listen to you and you feel immediately better.
