I listen to many life coaches and mentors’ interviews and radio episodes online. I enjoy listening about he or she found their calling in life and how things fell into place for he or she to live an inspired life.
The danger with listening to such stories sometimes is happiness sounds like a glamorous destination. But it’s not. It’s a feeling that you can create in yourself moment by moment.
Way of Life
Happiness is a way of life. It is something you must practice everyday. You don’t get the magical pill of happiness and suddenly you’re happy all the time. It’s something you incorporate into your life every day. You figure out what makes you happy and you incorporate these moments as much as you can into your life.
Eating healthy, having a fulfilling career, having enriching relationships, and taking time out for your interests all contribute to you being happy.
Your State of Mind
You don’t need to take off on a luxurious vacation to feel happy. Though who wouldn’t take this opportunity, right! I had a boss who was super rich and owned several homes in the Bay Area. But you could tell she was crumbling inside and would take off on vacations often. But she would cut her trip short and return early to work. Even when she traveled across the world, she couldn’t find peace and stillness.
Feeling Happiness even in Midst of Chaos
Cultivating the habit to create moments of happiness is important and the early you do it, the better. Life throws all sorts of curve balls your way. Life becomes chaotic, but finding your center in the midst of chaos is true happiness.
