Drama is fun and exciting, but it can also be dangerous. It’s kind of like fire in some ways. If used effectively, can warm you. If not, then we know its effects in forests… Either way, it spreads fast and within seconds.
Drama at Work?
In my last job, there was lots of drama. Every day, some situation or the other would pop up. I wasn’t even necessarily involved in them. But being a small office, one person’s drama became everyone’s drama.
Even I found it very amusing and entertaining. I loved to hear stories and would laugh my colleagues about the latest tidbit of outrageous gossip.
But it can suck out your love-driven energy. I found myself focusing less on my self and on the drama instead. It became addictive actually.
Drama in Your Personal Life?
That hasn’t escaped me either. Whether it has been romantically or with my friendships, there has been drama, too. And it didn’t even have to do with me! The one thing I noticed about drama is it can from a fear-driven energy. When you start to absorb that energy, it translates in other areas of your life, too.
Causes You to Lose Focus On Yourself
I would get sucked into other people’s words and lives. I was living someone else’s drama and lives! And I stopped living mine.
What do you do then?
Gracefully get out of it and don’t spend time on the drama. Spend that energy on living your vision instead.
