4 Ways to Tell Your Family You Love Them…

September 6, 2014 by Priyanka 2 Comments

Modern Family…

Our family is ever present in our life, whether we like it or not. Some share complicated relationships with their family. The role of family is no longer just the traditional family unit. It has taken a whole new level of definition. One of my favorite shows, The Modern Family, depicts the different models of family in the modern world today.

Love Your Family.

Love Your Family.

Love is an Important Value

It does not matter who is in your family and whether your family confirms to the traditional meaning. What matters is you have family you can call your own and love wholeheartedly.

I love my family deeply and want only the best for them. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them happy. But I’m not always able to communicate that to them. I do through my actions, but I rarely say it directly. Now that I think about it, it has been a long time that I simply said the words, “I love you.” That is not right. I should express my love and tell them how much I love them.

Here are four fun and special ways to tell your family you love them:

1) Cook a meal together. Cook a favorite family dish together. Assign a specific task to each family member. Be flexible and roll with the punches. Laugh and have fun with it!

2) Have dinner together. Whether you cook the meal or order a special meal, have a dinner together. In my family, we pull out the fancy dishware and dine in the living room.

3) Party together. Throw a get-together or fun party together. Organizing a party is team work and what better way to get the family together.

4) Watch a family video. In my family, we have watched so many family videos together! It brings up so many memories! Most of my fondest memories have been watching videos of my childhood with my family. It’s so funny and sweet to look back on moments and laugh and reminisce with one another. Absolutely precious!

What are some of the ways you told your family you loved them? Please share with me in the comments.

How about take a trip together.
    Make something together.
    Play a game together.
    Go on a walk together.
Give surprise gifts to one another for no particular reason.

Those are brilliant ideas, Bill! Anything that requires spending time with your loved ones and as long as you do it with love and honesty are fabulous. I especially like the giving surprise gifts for no reason.
