The ultimate goal in life should be happiness, right? When you were a kid, that must have been simple. Everything you did was in pursuit of happiness.
As You Grew Older, The Purpose Shifted…
Your focus shifted. Your purpose changed. You later got caught in the rat race of life. That job you took? That relationship you found yourself in? You did them to be happy initially, but later found yourself embroiled in something else.
And then some experience in your life didn’t work out, so now you’re afraid of feeling happy.
You’re Afraid Expectations Will Create Disappointment
When specific situations don’t work out and you gave your best shot, you become super cautious and shy of taking any step forward. Even if that means you have another chance for happiness, you’re so afraid of it going away, that you don’t even let the happiness come your way.
Fear of Not Doing Anything
Being happy often means finding stillness and fulfillment in your present. You may have goals and ambitions for the future, but you can still feel happy today. That might scare you. Being still might mean diving into your heart and emotions. And you may be running away from that.
But the truth is you must dive into your heart, so you can find that inner peace and live your vision.
You Don’t Deserve Happiness
A fundamental belief that you don’t deserve happiness may also be blocking your internal pathway. Everyone deserves happiness, including you!
