Whether we know it or not, we are calculating and making decisions every second of the day. Should I get the latte? Should I set up that meeting?
This balancing act can become difficult at times, and suddenly you’re pulling out hairs from your head! How do you strike the perfect balance?
Know Your Priorities
The only way to balance your priorities is to know what your priorities are. I make a list of the priorities I have on a monthly basis. Sometimes, I even break them down and make a note of them on a weekly basis.
Another factor I take into consideration is which priorities carry more weight and importance. If I’m crunched on time, I try to take care of the more important ones first.
Also – make sure you carve out time for fun! I chalk into my schedule social events and family commitments well in advance.
There is No Perfect
You are not Super Woman! Even though you would love to! Every woman is constantly faced with this dilemma of balancing their work and personal lives every moment. Sometimes, no matter how much you plan, things may not turn out the way you expect. It’s important to let go and surrender. To just go with the flow.
You can strive for perfection, but you are human after all. Accept you’re doing your best and continue doing this balancing act!
